Gege Katana: The Iron Lady X 2007
X 20"x24"
Gege has survived attacks and threats in the Democratic Republic of the Congo because of her work in Human Rights for women. Her network of peace groups in villages trains women activists to work to end violence against women in their homes and against rape as a weapon of war.
"The rape of women and girls, without distinction of age, by armed men....must be punished as a crime against humanity."
